Welcome to the New Intransit Container Website!
Posted on: June 24, 2026
At Intransit Container, we’ve always believed that moving a container is about much more than simply transporting freight from one location to another.
Every container represents a customer’s inventory, production schedule, sales commitments, and ultimately their reputation. Our job is to make sure those containers move safely, efficiently, and reliably through every stage of the supply chain.
As we launch our new website, we wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves, explain what we do, and share what makes Intransit different.
More Than Drayage
Many people know us as a drayage company serving the ports of Boston, New York/New Jersey, and Philadelphia. While that remains a core part of our business, our role often extends far beyond simply moving containers from point A to point B.
Today’s supply chains face increasing challenges. Port congestion, equipment shortages, changing tariffs, rail schedules, storage requirements, and delivery constraints can all impact how and when cargo reaches its final destination.
That’s why we’ve built our business around providing customers with flexible container logistics solutions that help them adapt to changing conditions and keep freight moving.
A Strategic New England Hub
Located in Worcester, Massachusetts, our operation serves as a strategic gateway to New England.
Our facility provides customers with access to container yard storage, bonded services, rail-linked solutions, reefer monitoring, transloading support, and regional distribution capabilities. This combination allows customers to maintain greater control over inventory, transportation costs, and delivery schedules.
For many importers, Worcester offers an efficient alternative to keeping containers at congested port facilities while still maintaining easy access to markets throughout New England.
Built Around Containers
Unlike many transportation providers that offer container services as just one part of a larger operation, containers are our business.
From standard imports and exports to overweight shipments, hazardous materials, refrigerated cargo, and bonded freight, our team understands the unique operational requirements that come with containerized transportation.
That experience allows us to anticipate challenges, respond quickly when issues arise, and provide practical solutions that help our customers avoid costly delays.
An Employee-Owned Future
One of the most significant milestones in our company’s history has been our transition to employee ownership.
As an employee-owned company, our people have a direct stake in the success of the business and the success of our customers. That ownership mindset influences everything we do, from daily operations and customer service to long-term investments in equipment, technology, and infrastructure.
We believe that when employees have a genuine investment in the company, customers benefit from higher levels of accountability, commitment, and service.
Looking Ahead
The transportation industry continues to evolve, and so do the needs of our customers.
As we continue to invest in our operations, facilities, and technology, our focus remains unchanged: providing dependable container transportation and logistics solutions that help our customers succeed.
Whether you’re an importer, exporter, freight forwarder, customs broker, steamship line, or logistics provider, we appreciate the opportunity to earn your business and demonstrate the value that Intransit Container can bring to your supply chain.
Thank you for visiting our new website. We look forward to working with you.
